Testosterone:
- Description: Testosterone is a key hormone in both men and women, primarily responsible for regulating muscle mass, bone density, fat distribution, red blood cell production, and libido.
- Importance: Monitoring testosterone levels is crucial for identifying hormonal imbalances, which can lead to symptoms such as low energy, reduced muscle mass, decreased libido, mood changes, and fatigue. In men, low testosterone (hypogonadism) can affect sexual function and overall vitality. In women, abnormal testosterone levels can indicate underlying conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or adrenal issues.

How to prepare?
How to prepare? Prepare for your testosterone Blood Test by following these simple steps:
1. Timing: Testosterone levels fluctuate throughout the day, so it's recommended to collect your blood sample in the morning, ideally between 7am and 10am when levels are highest.
2. Fasting: Fasting is generally not required for a testosterone test, so you can eat and drink as usual before the test unless otherwise advised by your doctor.
3. Medications: If you are taking any medications, especially hormone replacement therapy (HRT), steroids, or supplements that could affect your hormone levels, consult your healthcare provider. They may advise pausing certain medications before the test.
4. Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours prior to the test, as intense physical activity can temporarily affect testosterone levels.
5. Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol the night before your test, as it may influence hormone levels.
